OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Water Utility Management wants to take a moment to assure it’s customers that operations will continue as normal during the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) pandemic, and that drinking water provided by WUM will meet or exceed all state and federal safety requirements.  The company remains dedicated to providing safe and reliable drinking water and the highest level of service to its customers. WUM will adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Georgia Department of Public Health and will make provisional arrangements for its employees when and if necessary. As a utility that provides critical public services, our focus is on ensuring the continued reliability and safety of our water and wastewater systems for our customers, as well as the health and safety of our employees.

To help protect public health during the evolving Coronavirus outbreak and to ensure safe, clean water continued to flow to customers’ homes, WUM previously suspended all water service shut-offs for those facing financial difficulties.  As of August 24, 2020, Water Utility Management has returned to standard operations for past due and suspended accounts. To avoid service interruption, we advise customers to contact our office regarding outstanding charges or to remit payment due. For added convenience, we offer multiple ways to pay, please visit our Ways to Pay page for more information.

Wastewater Notice

Help avoid clogs and backups: WUM strongly recommends that you do not flush wipes or paper towels down the toilet. Even wipes labelled  “flushable” won’t break down and can lead to backups in your household plumbing and problems in wastewater collection systems. These items are being used more than ever, WUM asks customers to bag items or throw them in the trash instead of flushing. With an increase in home cooking, please remember to keep sinks and drains clear of fats, oils and grease. Thank you for your help as these actions will ensure our wastewater systems can effectively serve our customers.
